BAY CITY, MI – Five years after coming together as one sports program, Bay City All Saints and Bay City Academy are through cooperating.
All Saints informed the Academy this week that it is ending the athletic cooperative at the completion of the 2025-26 school year and becoming its own entity for sports once again.
With the combined enrollment of the neighboring schools growing to more than 200 this year, many of the sports have been bumped to a higher division for Michigan High School Athletic Association postseason play. And the Big Thumb Conference was poised to move the Cougars from the Red Division to the far more competitive Blue Division, according to All Saints athletic director Lonnie Griffin.
“Enrollment growth in both schools led to a new situation,” Griffin said. “When we
