PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Greenville man remains in jail after his arrest Thursday on several drug charges.
Pitt County deputies say they arrested Robert Moore as they wrapped up an investigation into illegal drugs in the county.
Around 3:50 p.m., deputies approached Moore in the parking lot of the Dollar General on Stantonsburg Road. They say he tried to run, but was quickly arrested.
During his arrest, deputies seized a quantity of fentanyl.
Moore was charged with level 2 trafficking in opium or heroin, and maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances.
He was jailed on a $200,450 secured bond.
