Police said the deaths of a man and woman found in their Greenwich home earlier this week were murder-suicide.

Officers found 83-year-old Suzanne Adams and 56-year-old Stein Erik Soelberg dead in their home in the Old Greenwich section of town on Tuesday. They had responded to the home for a welfare check.

Autopsies were performed on Thursday and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Adams’ death was a homicide and Soelberg‘s death was by suicide, police said.

Greenwich police are continuing to investigate and they have not released any additional information.
