(KRON) -- A 26-year-old San Mateo woman, Adrienne Dahbour, was supplied by her boyfriend with free fentanyl until the day she died from an overdose, according to investigators.
A judge denied granting bail for Dahbour's boyfriend, Pedro Armando Arellano, this week because "he remains a danger to the public," prosecutors said. The San Mateo County District Attorney's Office charged Arellano with second-degree murder for the death of his girlfriend. He pleaded not guilty.
While the couple was dating, Arellano "provided victim with fentanyl without charge because she was his girlfriend," the DA's office wrote. Before Dahbour's death on January 4, 2025, she survived two fentanyl overdoses by using Narcan, prosecutors said.
Arellano, 27, of San Mateo, also overdosed at least three times and
