Popular promotional night – and a bobblehead collectible – stars this Saturday night with the Rockies in town
Diamondbacks fans may still be bummed about last month’s trade deadline that sent popular players like Eugenio Suárez and Merrill Kelly out of town. Or that playoff hopes seem to be slipping away with only seven weeks left in the season.
But one of the most popular cures for fans who have the baseball blues returns Saturday.
The D-backs host the Colorado Rockies for a 5:10 p.m. first pitch on Star Wars Night at the ballpark. The first 20,000 fans in attendance receive a Corbin Carroll “Star Wars”-themed bobblehead, and even a forecast high of 108 degrees likely won’t keep thousands of fans from lining up outside early before gates even open to get the prized collectible.
