LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man was arrested Friday after allegedly attempting a home invasion and bank robbery in St. Matthews.
A spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department said that Friday morning’s bank robbery began as a home invasion.
Police said the man forced a mother and her two children into their car, a Mercedes SUV, and drove it to the PNC Bank on Shelbyville Road while armed with a knife. He then robbed the bank’s drive-thru teller before running away.
The woman was assaulted and injured, but the two children were unharmed. The mother was taken to the hospital.
