The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) is reminding residents to practice year-round water conservation, emphasizing that while water levels may fluctuate, the region’s water resources remain limited.

The District’s latest “Water Resource Weekly Update” reveals that aquifer levels across the region, while still within the normal range, have dipped compared to both the previous week and the same period last year.

According to the update, aquifer levels in the North, Central, and South regions of the District are all currently within the “normal range” of the 25th to 75th percentile. However, each region has seen a decline in its percentile ranking.
