HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police are searching for a suspect after they say a 77-year-old man was stabbed to death while riding his bike to work this week.

On Friday, the Houston Police Department released surveillance video of the suspect wanted in the deadly stabbing.

HPD says the suspect seen in the video allegedly stabbed the victim on North Dreenan Street just before 6 a.m. on Thursday. Police said the suspect boarded a METRORail train shortly after the stabbing, and that's how officers obtained the video.

According to officials, the 77-year-old was riding his bike to work on a nearby bike trail when the suspect came out from behind a fence and stabbed him.

HPD said the victim was able to reach his workplace, where his co-workers called 911, but he died at the hospital.
