FORT STEWART, Ga. — A former soldier at Fort Stewart and his wife were indicted for starving their daughter to death, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Georgia.

The press release says Brandon Kelley, 29, and Stacey Kelley, 26, were indicted on two charges of second degree murder for depriving their daughter of food and medical care.

“The allegations in this case are heartbreaking on many levels," said Acting United States Attorney Tara M. Lyons. "Our office will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to pursue justice.”
