WINSLOW, Maine (WABI) - When thinking about Maine, blueberries have to be one of the first things that come to mind. They will be on special display this weekend in Winslow.
It’s the 54th year of the Blueberry Festival to benefit the Winslow Congregational Church and the Winslow Community Cupboard. The event begins Friday night with live music and hundreds of blueberry pies for sale.
It will continue bright and early Saturday morning with a blueberry pancake breakfast, more music throughout the day, vendors, a yard sale, and much more.
It brings together people from the area but also out-of-staters who are looking to get a taste of Maine blueberries.
