A TriMet LIFT passenger was arrested Thursday night after allegedly cutting a LIFT employee with a knife, according to police.

The passenger, Princess Harris, 54, was booked into Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of two counts of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

LIFT Paratransit is a shared-ride service from TriMet for people who are unable to use regular buses and trains due to a disability or a health condition.

Police say they received a call around 11:30 p.m. about a “verbal disturbance” with a passenger who was refusing to get off a LIFT vehicle. A few minutes later, TriMet dispatch notified police the situation had “been resolved” and police were no longer needed.
