PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - It’s a line that wrapped around the building at the Putnam Career and Technical Center.
Families were eager to get inside for the annual Back to School Blast.
Hosted by Putnam County Schools’ Title I program, the event provided every student — Pre-K through 12th grade — with a free backpack filled with grade-specific school supplies.
“We’re able to help kids because things are expensive right now,” Elizabeth Hoh with Putnam County Schools said. “It can cost a lot of money for students to get the stuff that they want, and we always want them to have new stuff to come back and start a year brand new and refreshed.”
