ANACONDA — Gov. Greg Gianforte said Tuesday he signed an executive order to release emergency funds for law enforcement to aid in the search for the man believed to have killed four people in an Anaconda bar.

Authorities believe Michael Brown, 45, walked into the Owl Bar in Anaconda around 10:30 a.m. Friday, shot four people with a rifle and took off in a stolen Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Authorities say there’s evidence Brown has been in a mountainous area since.

“There is certainly evidence in our search area that he’s present and that, you know, we’re hunting in the right haystack,” Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen said Tuesday morning as the manhunt for Brown was in its fifth day.

But Knudsen acknowledged that the last confirmed sighting of Brown was Friday, when he fled Anaco
