REMBERT, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County deputies are investigating after two female bodies were found Friday afternoon near a rural road in the Rembert area of Sumter County, say officials.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the area due to a report of a body in the area on Friday, August. 8.

While on the way to the scene, deputies got notified there were two bodies at the scene, says SCSO.

The bodies will be taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for autopsies by the Sumter County Coroner’s Office in order to determine the causes of death and identify the deceased.
