The Detroit Tigers were largely expected to be an aggressive team at the trade deadline, with the caveat Scott Harris would not be likely to send the best of the farm out for short-term upgrades. That seemed fine, as many outlets have the Tigers in possession of a top 3 farm system, giving them plenty of options to deal from.

As we all know, however, that is not how things worked out. While other teams acquired ace reliever after ace reliever, Detroit added two veteran starters, a couple of rebound targets in the bullpen, and a solid, albeit unspectacular, closer, although I like Kyle Finnegan’s upside quite a bit.
