A Bellevue police officer was involved in a shooting while responding to an incident early Friday, the department said.
The Bellevue Police Department did not say whether the officer fired the shots. Police said no officers or “other community members” were injured. Investigating agencies did not say whether the person involved in the incident was hurt.
The incident took place in the 15800 block of Northup Way around 12:30 a.m., police said.
Police responded to calls around 8:15 p.m. Thursday at an apartment complex reporting a man charging at people with a sword, KING 5 reported. The outlet said the man barricaded himself in his apartment when police arrived and began shooting at officers with what appeared to be an airsoft rifle.
