SANDUSKY, Ohio — "Tommy Boy" — the classic 1995 buddy comedy starring David Spade and the late, great Chris Farley — was set right here in Sandusky , home of the fictional Callahan Auto Parts. So what better place to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the film than the place where it pretended to happen?

Welcome to Tommy Boy Fest, a weekend-long party celebrating everything "Tommy Boy." And "holy schnikes," is there a lot going on, according to Sandusky Communications Manager Tom Horsman.

"We're celebrating 30 years of "Tommy Boy," one of the sort of iconic cultural movies of the '90s," Horsman said. "We got the movie director (Peter Segal). We got Julie Warner — who played Michelle in the movie — coming Friday night."

The film wasn't actually shot in Sandusky; most of it was filmed
