MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - Montpelier crews were dealing with an impressive water main break late Friday afternoon.

Witnesses said the geyser was shooting more than 50 feet in the air at Jordan Street.

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area of Hubbard Park Drive and Clarendon Avenue, which is closed right now.

Public Works officials say a crew is on the way to fix it.
