BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - With plenty of free backpacks, Beaufort County Community College is helping many in the community get ready for the new school year.

“Not everybody has the money nowadays, especially in today’s economy, where they can just go out and buy more school supplies, so anytime school supplies come along, it’s always a good thing,” BCCC student, William Cave, says.

The backpack giveaway, sponsored by Wayne Hardee Law, is aimed at helping K through 12 students.

The law firm’s team has been working to stock every backpack with much needed school supplies.
