Multiple collisions on the QEW through Hamilton caused some traffic mayhem Friday morning and into the afternoon.

At least three collisions were reported on social media and 511on.ca for the QEW between the Red Hill Valley Parkway (RHVP) and the Burlington Skyway, including what OPP say will be a lengthy closure on the RHVP ramp to the Niagara-bound QEW.

First, 511 reported a disabled vehicle blocking traffic in the right lane and shoulder over the Skyway around 8:47 a.m. A short time later, at 9:51 a.m., a collision was also reported Toronto-bound on the bridge, blocking two left lanes.

Another collision on the QEW Toronto-bound on the ramp at Nikola Tesla Boulevard blocked the right lane around 10:44 a.m.
