Friday evening update: If you've stepped outside today, you've probably noticed it's still pretty cloudy and cooler than usual for August. That's thanks to our old friend, the wedge - a stubborn setup where cool air gets trapped against the eastern side of the Appalachian mountains. It's been hanging around for a few days now, keeping our skies gray and our temperatures well below average in the 70s to low 80s.
Tonight, expect the clouds to stick around, keeping things mild in the upper 60s.
