Madison woman who had last been heard from on Aug. 2 found safe

In an update Friday, police said Grace Dwyer was found safe.

MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Police Department on Friday issued a Missing Endangered Person Alert for a 38-year-old woman.

Grace E. Dwyer was last heard from on Aug. 2 by family, and her last known location is currently unknown.

Police described Dwyer, who is from the Madison area, as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs roughly around 140 lbs.

If seen, people are being asked to check Dwyer's welfare and to have her call her mother, along with notifying Detective Roberta Stellick from MPD at (608)245-3696.

Note: A report from the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network stated the date Dwyer was last seen was on July 26, while the Madison Police Department stated she was last heard from by family on Aug. 2.
