JOHNSTOWN (WTAJ) -- It's a new era at Westmont Hilltop, and the Hilltoppers will surely turn a few heads when they line up in Josh Rearick's spread offense.

The first-year head coach is ditching the school's classic "three-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust" offense for a more modern look. (For context, Westmont Hilltop had more rushing attempts (458) than passing yards (404)

Rearick is a former standout at Forrest Hills and spent time as an assistant for the Rangers under Don Bailey. He played two sports at Mansfield University, where his football coach, Joe Gilbert, went on to win a Super Bowl ring with the Buccaneers as an assistant. Rearick is a branch on a really coaching tree, and he said he will use those lessons learned as he takes over the Hilltoppers.
