The grandstands were full Thursday evening at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds as a crowd came to witness the 100th year of the Pig-N-Ford races .

“You are about to see the most redneck thing you’ve ever seen in your life,” said announcer Mike Bentley. “What a time to be alive.”

It’s difficult to explain this strange tradition on the Oregon coast. Most racers said they simply pull up YouTube videos when someone asks what they do.
