OAKDALE, La. (KPLC) - The Oakdale City Council has named an interim police chief following Chad Doyle’s federal indictment and resignation.
The council elected Webster Chamberlain to serve as interim chief Thursday night.
Former Chief Doyle resigned in July after he was charged in an alleged decade-long immigration fraud and money laundering scheme scheme. Former Oakdale City Marshal Michael “Freck” Slaney and Forest Hill Police Chief Glynn Dixon were also charged in the scheme and have resigned from office.
