Justin Herron, a veteran offensive tackle signed by the Detroit Lions earlier this month, suffered an apparent right arm injury in pregame warmups ahead of Friday night's preseason matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

Herron, a sixth-round pick in 2020, was seen visibly upset leaving the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Lions were already light at offensive tackle heading into the game, with starters Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker not expected to play and top reserves Dan Skipper (ankle) and Jamarco Jones (ankle) out.
