To say beer fans are excited about the long-awaited arrival of Yuengling beer to Michigan may be an understatement.

In June, news spread that three Michigan beer distributors would begin selling Yuengling in August. Bars and restaurants will be able to serve three variations — Yuengling Lager, Yuengling Black & Tan and Yuengling Flight (a light beer) — on tap starting Monday.

Bar and restaurant owner Mike Zelinski said people have been asking for Yuengling for weeks since a beer rep put a sign up saying it was coming soon to his Detroit restaurant, Z's Villa, a popular spot for sports fans and Wayne State University students.

Zelinski has seen this kind of excitement before, though.
