(KRON) -- El Cerrito police said a thief pulled out a stun gun to threaten a Walgreens employee before walking out with stolen items.

The incident happened on August 2 at 8:43 p.m. at the store located on the 11500 block of San Pablo Avenue.

Police said the victim said the suspect immediately grabbed items after entering the store and then tried heading back out.

"When confronted, the suspect removed a stun gun from their bag and threatened to stun the victim, while leaving with the unpaid merchandise," said police.

The total value of the goods is not yet known, and police did not release a suspect description.

Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to call 911.
