MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Hundreds of people showed up for a hair store's grand opening on Dauphin Street when things got hairy.

Some customers told News 5 people had camped out overnight to be some of the first people in the door.

"Like these folks, they been trippin'," Dontavia Holley said. "Got here at 10:00 last night to 8:00 this morning."

The Hair Depot held a promotional opening sale, including a giveaway for the first 200 people to come into the store.

"They givin' out free 200 bundles," Holley said. "Human hair bundles."

Which is why people were eager to get inside the store.

"They was pushing and shoving," one customer named Alyssa said. "They just wanting to get their hair done."

"They fighting," Shaz Poetic recounted. "People skipping lines and all that stuff."
