Lifeguards and San Diego Fire Rescue were sent out to see Friday after reports of a capsized boat.

It's unclear at this time how many people were on board the boat or had been rescued, or whether anybody had been injured.

Sky Ranger 7 is flying above the scene and transmitting back images of a few boats on the scene, tending to the relatively small overturned watercraft, it's engine visible on the turtled boat. At the coast nearby, half a dozen lifeguard pickups are standing by, as are a couple fire trucks.

The incident took place offshore from Camino de la Costa in the Bird Rock neighborhood, according to SDFD.
