CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Browns and Carolina Panthers each lost a player to an ejection after a post-play scuffle early in the first quarter of the preseason opener.
Browns safety Rayshawn Jenkins and Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette after both were involved in a scuffle in which punches were thrown by both players. Both players were assessed personal foul penalties, which offset.
Legette appeared to go after Jenkins while going downfield to block on a Chuba Hubbard run that gained nothing. Jenkins took exception to it, and the two exchanged punches before it was broken up.
