(KRON) — Four teenagers are in custody after an elderly man was robbed and beaten near a shopping center in Walnut Creek on Aug. 7, according to police.

Walnut Creek Police Department officers responded to the alleged beating on the 1900 block of Tice Valley Boulevard around 11 p.m. At the scene, officers found the victim suffering from significant injuries.

“Officers learned four female suspects had assaulted the victim, stole some of his personal property and then fled the scene in a vehicle,” Walnut Creek PD said.

With help from witnesses, officers allegedly found the getaway car a short time later and arrested all four suspects. Police arrested 18-year-old Antonina Abdulwajid of Concord, 18-year-old Jaycee Behnke of Concord, a 17-year-old girl from Walnut Creek and a 15-year-old gir
