FARGO — North Dakota State held its annual football media day Friday, Aug. 8, at the Nodak Insurance Football Performance Complex around three weeks ahead of the season-opening game.

The Bison start the regular season at 11 a.m. (CDT) Aug. 30 against the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

NDSU is the defending NCAA Division I FCS national champion after knocking off top-seeded Montana State 35-32 in the title game last January in Frisco, Texas.

Bison head coach Tim Polasek is heading into his second season as the program's leader. Veteran defensive lineman Jaxon Duttenhefer , quarterback Cole Payton , receiver RaJa Nelson and linebacker Logan Kopp were among the familiar faces at the media event.

NDSU has won 10 FCS national titles since the 2011 season.
