SPOKANE, Wash. -- Drivers who use northbound Greene Street near Spokane Community College should plan for extra travel time next week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says starting on Monday, August 11, northbound Greene Street will be fully closed for one week as part of the North Spokane Corridor, Spokane River Crossing project.

The closure will be between Mission Avenue and Illinois Avenue. A detour will be in place.

If you're heading north on Greene Street, you’ll be detoured left on Mission Avenue, right on Hamilton Street, and right on North Foothills Drive to Euclid Avenue and eventually back onto Greene Street.

Drivers should plan for extra travel time in the area.

WSDOT closed southbound Greene Street in the same area this past week.
