The need for blood and blood products to save the lives of trauma victims, surgery patients, mothers giving birth, cancer and sickle cell patients, and others is never ending. To make sure there is always enough supply to meet demand, staffers of Coffee Memorial Blood Center of Amarillo, the organization that provides blood and blood products to the hospitals and other medical facilities of the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles, will be back in Dumas on August 13 from noon to 6:30 p.m. in the Dumas Noon Lions Club building at 524 South Porter Avenue in Dumas for a community blood drive.
