ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The 26th Annual Macedonian Festival kicked off today at St. Dimitria Macedonian Orthodox Church, celebrating Macedonian culture with traditional foods and festivities.

The festival, which began in 1998, has evolved into a significant cultural event in the community, showcasing Macedonian heritage through food, music, and dance.

The festival continues tomorrow, Saturday, August 9th, from noon to 1 AM and on Sunday from noon to 11 PM.

Festival goers can enjoy Macedonian-style kebabs and baklava, among other traditional dishes.

The festival also honors its founder, Pando, whose dedication and vision helped establish the event.
