The Toledo Mud Hens stretched their winning streak to five games on Friday with a 7-2 victory over the Louisville Bats on the road.

The Mud Hens offense pounced on Hunter Greene — who was making a rehab start ahead of his return to the Cincinnati Reds — in the early innings, scoring two runs in the first and three in the third.

Jace Jung opened the scoring in the top of the first with a two-run home run to left field.

After the Bats got on the board in the bottom of the first thanks to a Rece Hinds RBI single, Toledo broke things open in the third when Justyn-Henry Malloy launched a three-run homer.

Both offenses were held in check until the ninth inning when the Mud Hens added a pair of insurance runs thanks to Eduardo Valencia’s bases-loaded single.
