FARGO — For the second year in a row, Cass County Veteran Services Office is holding its Community Veteran Stand Down event in support of local veterans.

The free event will run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, in Broadway Square, 201 Broadway N., Fargo, according to a release from Cass County.

"With so many changes unfolding in the VA and veteran benefits landscape, questions are inevitable," said Veteran Services Officer Chris Deery. "What matters most is that veterans know where to turn — and that they’re never left to navigate it alone."

Veterans and their families can visit informational booths, enjoy a free meal, meet with representatives from veteran organizations to get help with VA enrollment, access healthcare for homeless veterans and learn about the PACT Act.
