ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Members of the drag community in Rochester are speaking out against an organization's decision to cancel a fundraiser in response to extreme online backlash.
The Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester (CAC) originally planned to hold a "Drag Bingo" event on August 11, which would've been hosted by Mrs. Kasha Davis, a contestant from seasons seven of RuPaul's Drag Race and season eight of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. However, amid a string of social media posts and comments, they decided not to move forward with the event.
