On Friday, leaders from across New Orleans came together to remember the impact Hurricane Katrina had on the city.

They also announced that a week of civic actions and public conversations will take place leading up to Aug. 29, when we reflect on 20 years since the catastrophic storm. Advertisement

Leaders said the events will kick off officially on Aug. 23 through Aug. 30.

On Aug. 29, the day Katrina hit, the annual Katrina second line and march will take place.
