A Derbyshire high street has welcomed a new addition to its roster of shops that will offer a rare combination of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. South Derbyshire's Newhall has plenty to shout about when it comes to restaurants and takeaways , and its latest exploit is sure to go down a treat with locals.

The Grill at 7-9 High Street held a grand opening earlier this week and replaces the longstanding 'Golden Fish' fish and chip shop, which recently closed its doors after more than a decade in the village.

At The Grill, customers will be able to dine in, collect, or have food delivered, ranging from skewers and audacious sides to pasta dishes and wraps.

Its pasta dishes include Bolognese, carbonara, frutti di mare and risotto, sure to pair nicely with sides such as salt
