PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- To honor former Oregon player Khyree Jackson, UO announced via X on Thursday that they are partnering up with the Khyree Jackson Foundation to make Aug 11th "Khy Day."
It's only been one year since the Minnesota Vikings cornerback was killed in a drunk driving crash, but his memory lives on through his foundation, which launched in early 2025.
This day of remembrance serves to not only celebrate his life but also collect donations towards scholarships and school supplies for kids in need. The foundation also wants to increase the number of football camps it puts on throughout the state, allowing for all young athletes to have equal access to positive mentors.
