SAHUARITA, Ariz. (KVOA) — An incident at the Sahuarita Police Department led to the arrest of James Springer, also known as James Freeman on YouTube.

On Aug. 7 Springer, 41, was arrested on suspicion of assault after attempting to gain access to a secure, non-public room and preventing its door from being closed, according to the Office of the Town Manager.

Sahuarita Police Chief John Noland, who has served for over a decade without any conduct complaints, initially restrained Springer with assistance from two officers.

The Marana Police Department is reviewing the arrest, while an independent agency will investigate the officers' actions and adherence to protocols.
