TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The University of Arizona is set to launch the new SafeCats app, designed to enhance campus safety through real-time tools and resources powered by Motorola Solutions' Rave technology.

"SafeCats is more than an emergency response app, it empowers our community and creates a culture of awareness, support and connection," said U of A Chief Safety Officer Steve Patterson.

Among its key features, the app includes push alert emergency notifications to deliver timely UAlert messages, ensuring users receive critical campus safety updates instantly.

The Friend Walk feature allows users to share their location with a friend who can track their journey and confirm their safe arrival.
