PROVO — On Friday, a small plane made an emergency landing at the Provo Airport .

The plane was a twin-engine experimental aircraft that had taken off out of the Spanish Fork Airport.

Provo Airport Operations Manager, Matt Jensen, said shortly after take off the aircraft had lost its front right wheel and emergency landed at the Provo Airport at approximately 12:35 p.m.

Jensen also said there was only one person aboard and they landed safely with no injuries. There was also no extra damage to the aircraft, with the only part of the aircraft not designed for the runway being the part that was missing the wheel.

The plane has been released back to its owner and the airport has gone back to normal operations.
