NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The SFA Lumberjacks are back to the field just three weeks out from their season opener against the Houston Cougars down in H-town.

And while the dog days of fall camp are starting to set in after practice number nine,

The ‘Jacks are still on the attack for their first playoff appearance since 2021.

“We’re all pushing to be the very best version of the 2025 Lumberjacks,” Head Coach Colby Carthel said.

And with star seniors like quarterback Sam Vidlak and cornerback Charles Demmings leading the way on both sides of the ball,

The preseason hype train in Nac is cruising down the tracks.

And the confidence on the field isn’t lacking too far behind it.

“They’re coming in with a little bit more confidence in themselves than maybe we did last year,” Carthel said
