PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A judge has ordered a Peoria man jailed until his trial for allegedly shooting his brother at their home in the West Bluff on Thursday.

Ashwin Greenleaf, 23, was arrested about 50 miles away in the Bureau County city of Princeton.

At Friday’s detention hearing, prosecutors said Ashwin shot his brother Andrew about 4 p.m., in front of their mother and two siblings, both under the age of 10.

Prosecutors said the shooting in the 800 block of West Moss Avenue, near North Douglas Street, happened after Greenleaf’s brother reportedly cut the cord to a saw.

Andrew Greenleaf recorded the shooting on his cellphone, showing his brother firing twice. Andrew suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and a graze wound to his arm, according to authorities.
