There are reports of a shooting at one of the world's most famous tourist hotspots.

Bodies have reportedly been left on the ground of New York's Times Square after multiple people were shot in a horrifying attack.

Social media has been rocked by clips of the incident since late last night, the Mirror reports, showing a huge police response.

One user has claimed three people were shot, but the New York Police Department (NYP) has not yet confirmed how many people were injured.

It has also not been confirmed if there have been any fatalities.
