There will be detours next week for Shore Road in Somers Point and Pitney Road in Galloway Township, Atlantic County officials said.

From Monday to Friday, a detour will be in place on Shore Road between Pierson and Ocean avenues from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for work by a private developer.

On Monday and Tuesday, a detour will be in place on Pitney Road between Great Creek Road and East Collins Avenue from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work by New Jersey American Water.

Motorists should follow posted detours or seek an alternate route and plan travel time accordingly. Police and traffic directors will be at both sites to assist.
