New Hampshire’s fair season is a time-honored tradition that’s been passed down through generations, and for many families, the fairgrounds remain a gathering place that connects the past with the present.

Fairs have evolved over the years with modern conveniences and the addition of new rides, attractions, and entertainment, but organizers say the core of the experience hasn’t changed: Participants and visitors alike continue to make shared memories at the fair.

“It’s about the people and the relationships,” said Bryan Peaslee, president of the Sandwich Fair who caught the fair bug at age 12 when he became involved with tractor pulling with his late father, Dan Peaslee.
